My name is Rich Richardson I am an Artist, Arts Consultant, and co-founder of Chinatown Artists Lofts, First Friday Honolulu, and The ARTS at Marks Garage. I was named One of 6 people Making a Difference in Honolulu Magazine 2013.
I am building tiny homes for sale. Hawaii's plantation style, Gypsy Caravans and English Shepard’s Huts inspire the shape. A Quonset Hut-style high-arched ceiling, and the foundation is a rugged street-legal trailer from Texas. A minimalist interior sports re-used materials. It’s off-grid ready, with solar power, rainwater catchment, composting toilet, and propane appliances.
18 feet long, 8.5 feet wide, and 110 square feet. A lanai & awning fold out from double French doors to bridge to the outdoors. Priced at approxmately $50,000.
I have been designing and building art and creative projects in Hawaii for over 20 years. Recent projects include: Permit-free backyard shed, Virus-proof exam booth, ADA ramp, Ping pong tables, Convertible storage/couch/bed, Kitchen remodel, Backyard landscaping, Art studio upgrades, and a Cattery.
